Chalkboard crafts are all the rage right now. I love the look myself. I think they are really cute as a valentines card. These stamps are from Papertrey Ink. The paper is My Minds Eye and the doily and ribbon is craft supply.
I never quite know what to say when a part of my heart is broken. Today we said
goodbye to our lovely girl, Crystal. From the moment I met her, she had stolen
my heart. She was a puppy that was as smart as a whip and mischievous yet had a
charming way of making me not be mad for very long. Crystal was a great show
dog, and I finished her myself with sweepstakes and specialty wins. She had a
wonderful specials career and was the ESSFTA runner up show bitch for 2003. She
made it all the way to the final cuts at the National and Westminster and was
the only dog left in the ring at the end, who didn't get the big rosette. But
she was so much more than a show record...Crystal shared her wonderful zest for
life and perfect temperament with her children. She's the mama of 5 champions,
and so many wonderful offspring - Danielle, Kaecee, Charley, Brighton, Shane,
Banner, Morgan and Macy, just to name a few. She was the perfect dog to live
with, never complaining and always so accepting of every dog, or puppy. She was
mama to all the puppies, whether they were hers or not. She loved her small
toys, the baby squirrels and bees that fit into the nest. I will miss her daily
woo woos and her snuggles with me. My life won't be the same without her, but
I'm grateful for every moment that I did. Rest in peace, my dear sweet girl.
Say hi to your Daddy Austin, Will, Carly and also my good friend Anita in
Tis the season for home organizing, and re-decorating. I've been inspired by so many fun things on Pinterest lately.
Time to get off my butt and do some of them!
The first thing was our guest bathroom. Now, its fairly bland, but I felt like it needed a "mini-makeover". The first thing I did was take down the boring, builder grade, crappy towel bar. There was definitely nothing special about that.
I decided that hooks would definitely be more interesting in the bathroom. So, I came up with this.
The best part of this Mini makeover? It was FREE! I love how it looks!
Wait until tomorrow...I cannot wait to show my trash to treasure project!
So we may have nearly fell off the fiscal cliff, but we did survive the end of the world! (tic) Seriously, I love the New Year! I usually am revived and ready to start new things, organizing, diets, etc. I don't normally make resolutions per se...but I do set some person goals.
